If any of this sounds familiar

Mercedes service should be straightforward — most shops make it complicated.

With the right tools (Mercedes XENTRY), the right oil (229.5 / 229.71), and the right adaptation reset, Mercedes service is a known procedure. Without those, you get the patterns below. Here’s what we see most often.

“The dealer’s A-service quote shocked me.”

Dealer A-service / B-service shock

Same Mercedes 229.5 oil, same OEM filter, same multi-point checklist — quoted itemized after inspection at our independent labor rate, with the service-reminder properly reset and a longer warranty.

“The dash says ‘Visit Workshop’ and the chain shop can’t clear it.”

Service-indicator reset

Mercedes service reminders need XENTRY (or equivalent factory access) to clear properly. Generic OBD readers won’t do it — the indicator stays on, the interval count gets out of sync.

“My AMG needs the same service every other car gets — but everyone treats it like a unicorn.”

AMG service availability

AMG twin-turbo V8s, M178 / M177 platforms, and AMG hybrid powertrains use the same XENTRY procedures + 229.5 oil as standard Mercedes. We service them at the same labor rate — not the dealer’s "AMG premium."

“The carbon buildup is causing rough idle on my E350.”

M276 / M278 carbon buildup

Direct-injection V6 (M276) and V8 (M278) Mercedes platforms are prone to intake-valve carbon. Walnut-blast cleaning restores airflow. We do it as a known procedure, not "we’ll see what we find."

Our approach

Mercedes XENTRY scan. 229.5 oil. OEM filter. Reset like the dealer.

Mercedes service is straightforward when you have the right tools, the right oil, and the right adaptation procedure. Most chain shops have none of those — the result is oil changes that don’t reset the indicator, A-service that misses the cabin filter, brake jobs that leave the EPB in service mode, and transmission service that’s filled to the wrong spec.

We use Mercedes XENTRY (the same factory scan tool MB dealers use), Mobil 1 ESP / Pennzoil Platinum 0W-40 (229.5 / 229.71 spec depending on platform), OEM Mahle / Mann filters, and the factory adaptation reset on every visit. Same procedures as the dealer, much better pricing.

  • Mercedes XENTRY factory scan tool — same as the dealer, on every visit
  • 229.5 / 229.71 spec oil only — Mobil 1 ESP, Pennzoil Platinum, or equivalent approved
  • OEM filters (Mahle, Mann) — listed by part number on every quote
  • Factory adaptation reset for service indicator, EPB, mechatronic on every job
  • Every line of work covered by our 48-month / 48,000-mile parts and labor warranty

How a Mercedes service goes

Five steps. No surprises.

From the moment you call to the moment you drive out, here’s what to expect — and what you walk away with at every step.

01

Book + drop off

Call (561) 395-5566 or request a quote. Most A-service / B-service work is same-day or next-day with an appointment.

02

Free XENTRY scan

Mercedes XENTRY factory scan reads every module: engine, transmission, ABS, ESP, ADAS, AIRMATIC, infotainment. Stored fault codes captured + service indicator status checked.

03

Itemized quote

Oil spec, filter part numbers, labor hours, any platform-specific items found in the scan — all listed. You approve before any work begins.

04

Service + adaptation reset

229.5 / 229.71 oil, OEM Mahle / Mann filter, factory torque on drain plug. Service indicator reset via XENTRY. Post-service test-drive to verify.

05

48-mo / 48k warranty

Parts and labor covered, starting on invoice date. Honored at PAC Community shops nationwide. Service logged digitally for warranty + resale.

How we’re different

Mercedes service, line by line, vs. the dealer and the chain shop.

What it costs

Mercedes service ranges, published up front.

A-service on a C300 and A-service on an S580 are not in the same dollar zip code — different oil capacity, different filter, different inspection scope. We quote the real number for your specific car after the inspection — not before.

Our European labor rate is $269/hr; oil change starts at $169.95; alignment from $189.95. Inspection and XENTRY scan are free on every job. Specific service-job costs — A-service, B-service, 9G-TRONIC fluid, AIRMATIC strut, brake service — are itemized after the free inspection. AMG and S-Class platforms price higher because the parts and the procedures are different, not because we charge a premium.

Free inspection + free XENTRY scan, then itemized quote. No work happens without your line-by-line approval.

Inspection & XENTRY scan

Free then a real itemized quote

European labor billed at $269/hr — significantly less than dealer rates for the same XENTRY procedures and 229.5 / 229.71 spec oil. Same factory adaptation reset, same OEM filter sources.

Frequently asked

Mercedes-Benz questions, answered straight.

The seven questions we’re most often asked about Mercedes service — with the real answers.

What’s the difference between an A-service and a B-service?

A-service is the standard Mercedes oil + filter service plus a multi-point inspection and fluid top-offs. Roughly every 10,000 miles or 12 months.

B-service is the more comprehensive every-other-interval visit (typically every 20,000 miles or 24 months). It adds the cabin filter, brake-fluid flush check, and on certain mileage intervals the spark plugs and air filter. Both reset the service indicator on your dash via XENTRY.

Pricing is itemized before work begins — we quote your specific car, not a generic A-service line item.

Do you service Mercedes-AMG models?

Yes — AMG C43, C63, E63, GT, GT 53/63 4-Door, GLE 63, and AMG hybrid variants. We service the AMG twin-turbo V8 platforms (M177, M178), the AMG-tuned 7-speed and 9G-TRONIC transmissions, and AMG-specific items like the ceramic brake systems and adjustable AMG Ride Control suspension.

Same labor rate as standard Mercedes work ($269/hr European). The dealer often charges an "AMG premium" rate — we don’t. Same XENTRY procedures, same 229.5 oil spec.

How often should I service my Mercedes?

Mercedes uses condition-based service indicators — the dash tells you when service is due based on actual driving conditions, not just mileage. Typical intervals: A-service every 10,000 miles or 12 months, B-service every 20,000 miles or 24 months (whichever comes first).

South Florida heat and stop-and-go traffic accelerate effective oil aging by 10–20% versus the EPA test cycle. We recommend the shorter side of the interval for cars driven primarily here. We’ll look at your service history and tell you honestly when your next service should fall — not when the dealer wants to upsell you.

Will independent service void my Mercedes warranty?

No. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prohibits Mercedes from voiding your factory warranty because you used an independent specialist. As long as we use 229.5 / 229.71 spec oil, OEM filters, and document the service properly, your factory coverage stays intact.

We keep a full digital record on every service — oil spec, filter part number, technician sign-off — so warranty claims and resale-time questions are straightforward.

What about Mercedes EQ electric vehicles?

Yes — we service the EQ lineup (EQS, EQE, EQB, EQA). EV service is different from ICE work: tire rotation, brake service, cabin filter, coolant for the battery thermal management system, 12V battery, and software updates via XENTRY.

We have the high-voltage safety equipment + training to work safely on EQ models. Battery diagnostics and high-voltage service are within scope; major battery replacement is referred to a Mercedes-EQ certified specialist.

Why is my "Service B due in X days" message coming on so often?

Almost always because the previous service didn’t reset the service indicator properly. The Mercedes service-reminder system tracks oil life, mileage, and time since last reset. If a chain shop did your last service and just stickered the windshield instead of running the XENTRY reset, the indicator keeps counting down from where it was — not where it should be.

Easy fix: bring it in. We’ll reset the indicator properly on a free XENTRY connection — no charge if no service is needed.

Can you handle AIRMATIC suspension repair?

Yes — AIRMATIC is the air-suspension system on most modern Mercedes (S-Class, E-Class wagon, GLE, GLS, G-Wagen). Common failures: air strut leaks, compressor wear, valve block, height sensors. Most parts are replaceable individually rather than as a full assembly.

AIRMATIC repair is itemized after a free diagnostic — we identify whether it’s a strut, the compressor, the valve block, or a height sensor before quoting. Independent labor + OEM parts; quoted line by line.
