If any of this sounds familiar

Porsche owners deserve specialists, not generalists.

Porsche service quality matters more than almost any other marque — because Porsche owners drive their cars hard, track them, and notice when service work is sloppy. PDK fluid, IMS bearing inspection, A40-spec oil, water pump and coolant pipes on Cayenne — all specialty work. Here’s where it usually goes wrong.

“The dealer’s 911 oil-change quote is wild.”

Porsche dealer pricing

Same Mobil 1 0W-40 (A40-spec), same OEM filter, same factory torque on the magnetic drain plug — quoted itemized after inspection at our independent labor rate, with the same PIWIS service-reminder reset and a longer warranty.

“I’m worried about the IMS bearing on my 996.”

IMS bearing reality check

996 / early 997 IMS bearing failure rate is real but heavily exaggerated by forums. We inspect via oil-pan magnetic-debris check + endoscope when changing the rear main seal. Most owners get 100k+ miles trouble-free.

“The Cayenne is leaking coolant in the engine bay.”

Cayenne plastic coolant pipes

957 / 958 Cayenne V8 has plastic coolant pipes that fail at 60k–100k miles. Replace with aluminum upgrade pipes before failure — or wait for the leak that requires intake manifold removal and a much bigger bill.

“The PDK shifts have gotten harsh.”

PDK fluid service

PDK is robust but needs fluid + filter service every 60k miles. The dealer often calls this "lifetime fluid" — that’s wrong. Skip it and the mechatronic + clutch packs glaze.

Our approach

Porsche PIWIS scan. A40 oil. OEM filter. Factory torque on every fastener.

Porsche service is exacting. Every torque value matters — not just the wheel bolts, but the magnetic drain plug, the camshaft cover, the PDK pan bolts, the brake-caliper bolts. The wrong oil (anything below A40 spec) accelerates IMS and bearing wear. PDK fluid that goes too long degrades the mechatronic. Coolant pipe failure on Cayenne is a known failure mode that rewards proactive replacement.

We use Porsche PIWIS (the same factory diagnostic platform Porsche dealers use), Mobil 1 0W-40 / equivalent A40-spec oil, OEM filters, and factory torque values on every fastener. Every service ends with a PIWIS adaptation reset and a test drive to verify.

  • Porsche PIWIS factory diagnostic platform — same as the dealer, on every visit
  • A40-spec oil only (Mobil 1 0W-40, equivalent approved) — no generic 5W-30 substitutes
  • OEM filters (Mahle, Mann) — listed by part number on every quote
  • Factory torque on every fastener — including magnetic drain plug + camshaft cover + PDK pan
  • Every line of work covered by our 48-month / 48,000-mile parts and labor warranty

How a Porsche service goes

Five steps. No surprises.

From the moment you call to the moment you drive out, here’s what to expect — and what you walk away with at every step.

01

Book + drop off

Call (561) 395-5566 or request a quote. Most service-due work is next-day with an appointment; track-day prep is scheduled separately.

02

Free PIWIS scan

Porsche PIWIS factory scan reads every module: engine, PDK / 8HP, ABS, PSM, ADAS, PCM infotainment, comfort. Stored fault codes captured + service-indicator status checked.

03

Itemized quote

Oil spec, filter part numbers, labor hours, any platform-specific items found in the scan — all listed. You approve before any work begins.

04

Service + adaptation reset

A40-spec oil, OEM filter, factory torque on every fastener. Service-indicator + adaptation reset via PIWIS. Post-service test-drive verifies.

05

48-mo / 48k warranty

Parts and labor covered, starting on invoice date. Honored at PAC Community shops nationwide. Service logged digitally.

How we’re different

Porsche service, line by line, vs. the dealer and the chain shop.

Three places to take a Porsche. Three very different approaches to A40 oil, PDK service, and PIWIS scan. Here’s the row-by-row.

What it costs

Porsche service ranges, published up front.

Porsche service varies by platform — oil change on a Macan and the same job on a 911 GT3 are not in the same dollar zip code. We quote the real number for your specific car after the inspection — not before.

Our European labor rate is $269/hr; oil change on Cayenne / Macan / Panamera starts at $169.95; alignment from $189.95. Inspection and PIWIS scan are free on every job. 911 / Cayman / Boxster oil service, PDK fluid service, Cayenne coolant pipe upgrade, brake service, IMS / RMS inspection — all quoted itemized after the free inspection. PCCB ceramic-brake service and GT-platform work price higher because the parts and procedures are different, not because we charge a premium.

Free inspection + free PIWIS scan, then itemized quote. No work happens without your line-by-line approval.

Inspection & PIWIS scan

Free then a real itemized quote

European labor billed at $269/hr — significantly less than dealer rates for the same PIWIS procedures and A40-spec oil. Same factory torque values, same OEM filter sources.

Frequently asked

Porsche questions, answered straight.

The seven questions we’re most often asked about Porsche service — with the real answers.

Should I worry about the IMS bearing on my 996 / 997?

The IMS bearing concern is real but heavily over-hyped by Porsche forums. Actual failure rates: 996 (1999–2004) ~5–8% over the engine’s life. Early 997.1 (2005–2008) similar. 997.2 (2009+) and all 991 / 992 generations are fine — redesigned IMS not at risk.

What we recommend: oil-pan inspection for magnetic debris during any oil change, endoscope check during clutch / RMS service, and IMS retrofit only if you’re seeing actual signs of trouble. Most owners get 100k+ miles trouble-free.

How often should PDK fluid be serviced?

Porsche service spec is 60,000 miles for PDK fluid + filter. The dealer often calls this "lifetime" — that’s a marketing position, not engineering. Skip it and you accelerate mechatronic temperature-sensor wear and clutch-pack glazing.

South Florida heat is rough on PDK fluid. We recommend the shorter side of the interval (every 50k–60k miles) for cars driven primarily here. Service runs $900–$1,400 with proper Porsche-spec PDK fluid and PIWIS adaptation reset.

Will independent service void my Porsche warranty or CPO?

No. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prohibits Porsche from voiding your factory warranty because you used an independent specialist. As long as we use A40-spec oil, OEM filters, and document the service properly, your factory warranty + Porsche Approved Pre-Owned (CPO) coverage stays intact.

We keep a full digital record on every service — oil spec, filter part number, technician sign-off — so warranty claims and resale-time questions are straightforward.

What about Taycan electric service?

Yes — we service the Taycan lineup (Taycan, 4S, Turbo, Turbo S, Cross Turismo, Sport Turismo). EV service is different from ICE work: tire rotation, brake service (regen reduces wear but rotors still corrode in coastal humidity), cabin filter, coolant for the 800V battery thermal-management system, two-speed rear gearbox fluid (unique to Taycan), 12V auxiliary battery, software updates via PIWIS.

We have the high-voltage safety equipment + training to work safely on Taycan. Battery diagnostics and high-voltage service are within scope; major battery replacement is referred to a Porsche-EV certified specialist.

Can you prep my GT car for a track day?

Yes — pre-track inspection (brakes, fluids, tires, suspension), high-temp brake fluid flush (RBF600 or Castrol SRF), pad selection for street vs. track use, tire pressure spec for hot-temp grip. Common requests: 911 GT3, Cayman GT4, Boxster Spyder, plus M Performance and AMG track preparation.

If you’re running PBIR or Sebring regularly, we can also coordinate corner-balance + alignment to your preferred specs. Track-day pre-inspection is $200–$300 for thorough.

The Cayenne is leaking coolant in the engine bay — how serious?

On Cayenne 957 (2008–2010) and 958 (2011–2018) V8 platforms, the most common coolant leak is the plastic coolant pipes that run under the intake manifold. They become brittle and crack at 60k–100k miles. The fix requires intake manifold removal — about 8 hours of labor.

The proactive solution: aluminum upgrade pipes ($1,800–$2,400 installed) that never crack. We recommend this preventively at 60k miles before failure. Catastrophic failure can hydrolock the engine if coolant gets into the cylinders — a $14,000+ repair.

Do you do PCCB ceramic brake service?

Yes — PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes) require specialty pads (typically OEM-spec only), specific pad-bedding procedure, and careful handling because the rotors can crack if dropped. We have the equipment and OEM pad sources.

PCCB rotor replacement is rare (the rotors last 60k+ miles in normal use) but expensive when needed — $3,500–$5,500 per axle for OEM rotors + pads. We’ll inspect rotor condition free and recommend replacement only when actually needed.
